Folks, get behind the march – get organised, pass the details on to your fellow reds, and publicise it. The SOS page on the subject is here: CLICK TO VIEW SOS NEWS UPDATE.
The details The time: Sunday, 3rd October, 1.30pm (ahead of the Blackpool game) The place: Liverpool Supports Club, Lower Breck Road
This summer Liverpool fans took their Save Liverpool campaign to the World Cup in South Africa – in the form of 4 banners (The Spirit of Shankly supporters union also had a similar banner there with their ‘Tom & George – not welcome anywhere’ message on it).
The banners were designed to raise awareness on the World stage about what is going on at the club and the need to get Tom Hicks and George Gillett out of the club.
The banners certainly caught people’s attention in South Africa and they were picked up on by the media as well:
It’s been a few weeks since the release of their single, “March of the Sons of Anfield”, so we thought we’d take the opportunity to have a chat with the guys who made the single, and get their views on the campaign, and on the ownership situation at the club.
Do you want to declare your independence from Tom and George?
Do you want to tell them that they are not welcome anywhere?
SOS want you to send out that message further, that it is not just those in Anfield or Liverpool that want Tom and George out, but many fans from right across the world.
